‌Itinerary:

Departure from Underberg
‌Your journey begins in Underberg, travelling through rolling green countryside toward the foothills of the Drakensberg Mountains.

Ascent of Sani Pass
‌Board a 4x4 vehicle and begin the climb up Sani Pass. Navigate winding gravel roads and steep gradients, with stops along the way to admire breathtaking views, waterfalls, and unique mountain flora and birdlife.

Border Crossings
‌Stop at the South African Border Control before continuing to the Lesotho Border Post at the summit. Please ensure you have a valid passport for entry.

Exploring Lesotho Highlands
‌Enter the remote Eastern Highlands of Lesotho, where you’ll visit a traditional Basotho village or the Sani Top Church. Engage with local residents and shepherds, learn about their customs, and experience their daily way of life. There may be opportunities to purchase handmade crafts and taste traditional bread or local beer.

Lunch in the Mountains
‌Enjoy lunch at a local venue (subject to availability), surrounded by the dramatic beauty of the high-altitude landscape.

Descent of Sani Pass
‌After lunch, begin your descent down Sani Pass, taking in the scenery from a different perspective and keeping an eye out for wildlife along the way.

Return to Underberg
‌Arrive back in Underberg in the afternoon, concluding a memorable day of adventure and cultural discovery before your onward journey to Durban.

‌Pick up and drop off at your hotel or guesthouse around Ballito.
